So how does it really work?
The boot contains a small device, called an accelerometer, which is able to measure the angle of the foot. These devices are used in cell phones to detect the orientation - think your screen switching when you turn it or games that require you to tilt your phone to move. When your heel shifts too far upward it sends a signal to the sensors which, in turn, sends a soft vibration through the boot. Don't worry about your horse feeling the vibrations! The natural placement of the stirrup threat on the boots sits far enough away from your horse's body for him to feel anything at all.
The boot also stays charged for up to 10 hours and is re-charged easily through a small USB port in the sole of the boot.
What else is there to it?
We have also developed an app which enables you to track the placement of your heel thanks to that handy accelerometer mentioned earlier. You can also customize how frequently you'd like the reminder vibrations whether it be every time your heel shifts upwards or at set intervals throughout your ride. Every rider is different and we want to make sure everyone finds what works best for them!
